People are still digesting the news that a retail chain that came into Canada with a lot of buzz and high hopes is pulling the plug after less than two years.
Target announced yesterday it’s closing its Canadian operations.
And while retail analysts, and a lot consumers, say Target failed to recreate what was working at its US stores, some shoppers we talked to at the Nanaimo North Town Centre will be sad to see it go.
A total of 5 Island locations are being shut down as Target pulls out of Canada. The others are in Campbell River, Courtenay and greater Victoria.
