Progress Plan on the Sunshine Coast nearly finished

A three year journey is coming to an end for the people behind the Progress Plan on the Sunshine Coast.

The goal has been to create new programs or strategies that have a lasting impact on improving the economic well-being of women on the Sunshine Coast.

Michelle Morton is project manager. She says they’re now pulling together the results of a final workshop.

The final Progress Plan report is going to be released in February, and it’s expected to include some key recommendations on child and seniors care, transportation, income and community belonging.

Morton says it’s become clear during their work that provincial or federal governments should have a role to play.
