Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green caucus, says he will re-introduce legislation this fall to enable ridesharing.
He says the previous Liberal government did ask ICBC to explore ways to accommodate ridesharing and Weaver says his new legislation will take it a step further…..
Weaver has twice introduced the Ridesharing Enabling Act, once in April 2016 and again in February 2017.
All parties talked about allowing for ridesharing during the election, but none gave a timeline.
Weaver says the time is now.
