Winston Blackmore has been found guilty of polygamy.
The former bishop of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints had been married to more than two dozen women at the same time over the course of 25 years.
Blackmore has fathered more than 145 children from his 27 marriages.
During the 12 day trial, the court heard from Blackmore’s ex-wife, Jane Blackmore, who left Bountiful in 2003.
Blackmore’s lawyer has said he would launch a constitutional challenge to the validity of the polygamy laws if his client were to be found guilty.
