The Chair of the Sunshine Coast Regional District Board believes the community will benefit from the one time $10 million injection of cash for the Island Coastal Economic Trust.
Garry Nohr says ICET was close to the bottom line of their funding and the cash will give the organization new life.
The trust was set up to boost economic development and applicants on the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island have to show they’re using the money to create jobs.
