The province has announced an increase in disability assistance rates.
It’s just about 200 million dollars over three years and, according to the province, will benefit 107,000 people with the persons with a disability designation.
As of April 1st, disability assistance rates will rise by 50 per month.
Once the increase takes effect, a single person with a disability designation will receive 1,033 dollars per month in disability assistance, up from 983.
