Visions of a repeat fire like the massive blaze on Commercial Street in Nanaimo a couple of weeks ago resulted in some tense moments this morning.
Fire chief Craig Richardson says crews got a call around 10:30 to an older building on Comox Road housing a linen supply business.
Paramedics did check one of the staff members for injuries.
It turns out the victim had inhaled either smoke or fumes from a fire extinguisher that had been used before fire crews arrived.
