Library workers ratify deal

The union representing workers at the Vancouver Island Regional Library have votedĀ in favour of a new contract.
The collective agreement was setttled with a mediator back in mid January.
CUPE Union members had been without a contract since January, 2015.
The new collective agreement expires in December of 2019.
Vancouver Island Regional Library is the 5th largest library system in BC and employs over 4 hundred people, including those in Nanaimo and Duncan.
