Gibsons Councillors heard from more than a hundred speakers over 5 hours Thursday night, during the highly anticipated public hearing on the George hotel project.
The arguments were familiar; concerns about height, use of public land, and risk to the aquifer versus economic development, tax revenue and attracting tourists.
The zoning and OCP bylaws that could allow the waterfront hotel conference centre to go forward could come up for a vote at Council before the end of the month.
