A 25-year-old Parksville man is facing charges after he was spotted breaking into a truck at Rathtrevor Provincial Park.
He was arrested on Saturday outside the park.
Oceanside RCMP Corporal Jesse Foreman says he had stolen items linking him to several recent thefts from vehicles in the park, including a foreign passport and driver licence taken last Wednesday.
Foreman says they’re recommending 12 charges, including several counts of Possession of Stolen Property, theft under $5000 and Possession of Break in Instruments.
The suspect is appearing in Nanaimo Provincial Court on Monday, August 31.
