West Van – Sunshine Coast candidates busy in what could be a tight race

Some early polling has suggested West Vancouver – Sunshine Coast could be one of the tightest races in BC, and candidates from the major parties have been busy since before the writ dropped in early August.

Conservative incumbent John Weston is running for a third term.  He says their government has a solid record, especially on balancing the environment and the economy.

Liberal Pam Goldsmith-Jones and Ken Melamed of the Greens say what they’re hearing from voters is a desire for change.

And Goldsmith-Jones says it’s a particular type of change they seem to be after.

Melamed says the Greens are best placed to deliver that change.

The NDP’s Larry Koopman says he’s hearing concerns about the economy and the environment, and they have solid model for achieving balance.
