Lantzville by-election preview Part 4: Swaine & Bielewski

There’s a by-election August 8th in Lantzville to fill four vacant council seats, and there areĀ 12 candidates running.

Coast FM has been talking to the candidates, and asked why they’re running.

Mark Swaine says he wants to be part of the solution.

Jennifer Bielweski says she wants to help council get back on track.

Coast FMĀ also asked what the candidates which issues need the most attention in Lantzville.

Bielewski says the water deal with Nanaimo needs work.

Swain saysĀ the water agreement is one of two things Lantzville needs to address.

Will Geselbracht declined the opportunity for an interview.

Advance polls in Lantzville are scheduled for the 29th and 5th, and General Voting Day is August 8th.

There’s also an all candidates meeting at Costin Hall on August 1st.
