The Coast Guard has suspended its search for the father of a girl whose body was found Saturday night near Gambier Island.
The 6 year old was found dead not long after a boat was reported adrift.
It’s now been turned over to Sunshine Coast RCMP as a missing persons case.

The pair was from North Vancouver, and friends and family on the Lower Mainland have said publicly the man is 60 year old William Liebenberg, and the family has a cabin on Gambier.
RCMP are looking for anyone who saw a beige, 20-foot aluminum hard-top boat in the area between Lions Bay and Gambier on Saturday.
