Lantzville by-election preview Part 1: Moody, Neary and Colclough

Lantzville is in the final stages of a critical by-election campaign. 12 candidates are running to fill four council seats left empty when the people elected last November quit.

We’ll be hearing from them over the next few days.

Coast FM asked about their priorities.

Joan Moody says she wants to see the Council move on, and get down to business.

Dot Neary says there’s a clear path to follow.

Bob Colclough says he wants to see Lantzville seize the day.

We also asked the candidates what it will take for Lantzville to get past the dissent and disruption of the past few months.

Bob Colclough says; cooperation.

Joan Moody says she’s confident that’ll happen once the by-election is over.

And Dot Neary says whoever’s elected will need to be willing to listening.

The advance polls are on Wednesday July 19th and August 5th. The by-election is set for August 8th.

There’s also an all candidates meeting at Costin Community Hall on August 1st at 3pm.

You can get all the information you need, including contact details for the candidates at the District of Lantzville website, or download it directly, here.
