The “Maker” community on the Sunshine Coast is holding the area’s first official Mini Maker Faire this weekend.
Co-organizer Laurie McConnell says the fact this is only the fourth event in BC to be sanctioned by the wider Maker movement shows that makers are thriving on the Sunshine Coast.
The Mini Maker Fair features hands on workshops, displays, and a chance to find out more about getting involved.
McConnell says there’s also lots for the “mini” Mini Makers.
The event runs from noon until 4pm Sunday at Dougall Park in Gibsons.
